Malegra 200 contains the active ingredient sildenafil citrate, which is a medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It belongs to a class of medications known as phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors.

The primary mechanism of action of Malegra 200 is its ability to inhibit the enzyme phosphodiesterase type 5. This enzyme is responsible for breaking down cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), which plays a crucial role in the relaxation of smooth muscles and the dilation of blood vessels in the penis.

During sexual stimulation, nitric oxide is released in the erectile tissue of the penis. This leads to the activation of an enzyme called guanylate cyclase, which increases the production of cGMP. Elevated levels of cGMP cause the smooth muscles in the penile blood vessels to relax, allowing for increased blood flow to the penis. This increased blood flow results in an erection.

However, the PDE5 enzyme can degrade cGMP, leading to a decrease in its concentration and the subsequent loss of erection. By inhibiting PDE5, Malegra 200 and Cenforce 200 helps to maintain higher levels of cGMP in the penis, prolonging its action and promoting sustained erections.
